His owner loved 'how he lays around all day and how he is scared of everything and everyone.' But now that may result in this poor kid losing his life! Bradley is not broken. He is simply a dog who has never been taught the world is safe. He was failed-not just abandoned but left unprepared for life outside the only home he knew. He was sheltered, but not in the way he needed. No training, no socialization, just love that wasn't enough to make him brave. Now, fear is his constant companion, and that fear might cost him his life. But Bradley has good in him. He is playful, full of energy, longing to be near the people he trusts. He loves bath time, loves the water, loves lying in the bedroom, close but never demanding. And despite his fear, despite his uncertainty, Bradley was wonderful with the cats in his home-gentle, outgoing, comfortable in their presence. That means there is hope. Somewhere inside, he knows how to trust. He just needs someone willing to show him how to do it with the rest of the world. Bradley does not need perfect. He needs patience. He needs structure. He needs someone willing to guide him, to give him the confidence he was never taught to have. The right person can save his life-not just from the shelter, but from the fear that has been allowed to shape him for so long. He is waiting for that person. Bradley is a 3 year old male large mixed breed dog. His owner is surrendering him due to being unhoused for the moment and moving into a temporary home.
