Tyke was adopted from the city shelter in December when he was 7 months old and weighed 20 pounds. Today he is 40 pounds and transformed from a curled up ball of fear to a happy, active and playful 1 year old. Tyke is very smart/trainable. Due to his high-energy he would do well with an active person to hike & play with. He loves to swim, catches the ball like Yogi Berra, will fetch a stick for you all day, & can catch a Frisbee (needs a little more practice here). Trained to sit, stay, & come to name/whistle, Tyke is also crate/house/leash trained, affectionate & loves to snuggle. Travels well in the car - loves road trips even if its just to the store. He has fear-based aggression towards large dogs. He used to have this same behavior towards people and all dogs but is now good with people and small dogs. He is currently in training classes and has improved remarkably in so many ways since he left the shelter.
