Our two male dogs do not get along and have to be separated and thus we are looking to rehome Hercules. We've been trying for months but it is not working for the two of them. He likes to be the alpha but does not want any competition for being the alpha. He can be lazy when inside but does like to run around when outside. He can get hot from his thick coat and thus can't be out too long when it is hot outside. He can jump high and so any fence would need to be a decent height. He can be very gentle and likes belly rubs in one-on-ones. We don't recommend he be placed with any other male alpha dogs as it has not worked for us. He does fine with our cats and our female dog. He can pull quite a bit if he sees certain dogs or possums or sometimes big trucks and so whoever walks him would need to be fairly strong. He would make a great guard dog and guardian. His fur is very thick and fluffy so in the summer if the climate is very hot, it is recommended to get his fur groomed so it is short and not as hot for him.
