Remmie was found abandoned in the woods in a county in Alabama. My husband was at an event and she was a stray who he had compassion on and brought her home. She was about 1 years old, malnourished, covered in infections and flees/ticks but overall in great health. She is now 2, in great health, super sweet and has so much potential. We love her very much but feel a home who has more time to devote to her would benefit her greatly. She's pretty submissive although does exhibit a small amount of food aggression, nothing serious just some growling and lunging that could be trained out by confident leadership in humans and/or dogs. She has gone to puppy training but she hated being on a leash out and about and was a lot to handle although she did graduate and showed lots of potential. Even the instructor said she was very submissive and teachable if the work was put in. We have not been able to work on her leash training. She is super cuddly, so incredibly sweet and has an amazing disposition that is super easy to please. She is fully potty trained, crate trained and I believe could be trained to be a wonderful dog for someone who has the time. She has shown some aggression toward other dogs but mostly when food is around. She is very happy but just needs more than we can give. We have another dog, 3 kids (5,8, and 10) and she is great with all of them! She does tend to chase children if they run and try to herd them but I think it's possible that's normal for border collies.
