I'm rehoming my cat Buns. She is 16 with the personality of a 6 year old cat (I've had her for 12 years) and she is an outdoor cat (with some sheltering options). She cannot tolerate staying indoors for any extended periods of time which is why I am seeking a place for her that would allow her to be outdoors in a fairly safe environment like a fenced in backyard away from traffic. I say safe because whoever had her before me declawed her front paws and she has no way of truly defending herself, although she definitely will try. She is smart enough to navigate the outdoors (as she did when I had my home in Oregon). FYI: anyone who has tried keeping her indoors has reached their limit with her meowing that she does in angst to be let outside- she is very verbal and has a loud, guttural meow at various hours of the night if she's stuck inside - hence, she needs to be outdoors for everyone's sake. She is fine with chill dogs that are used to having cats around, but is very territorial around cats - she will scream when a cat is close to her and the entire neighborhood can hear it so that's a good warning signal to know you may have to break up a cat argument (I've done this multiple times- she's never gotten injured even though she's been in many cat fights). She's actually a complete sweetheart but a bit of a diva when it comes to other cats. If you have a generally safe outdoor space for her to roam and don't mind having a sweetheart kitty in your outdoor space, she's the one for you! She's a very affectionate kitty and comes for pets and love and after 5 minutes she's good.
