About Fiona

LOCATION: Champion, PA DOB: 08/26/2021 Meet Fiona, a stunning mantle Great Dane with a sweet heart and playful spirit. Fiona's world recently changed when her beloved owner was diagnosed with cancer and had to move back home. Fiona is currently staying at a doggy daycare where her owner works, but she needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can thrive. Fiona is dog selective and does best with male dogs of any size. She is not a fan of female dogs and would be happiest in a home with friendly, respectful male canine companions. Her behavior with cats is unknown. She hasn't lived with children but has met kids as young as four and did well during those interactions. Fiona is housebroken, leash trained, rides well in the car, and knows basic obedience commands. Fiona has shown some barrier-related behavior when riding in her owner's Jeep, particularly growling at men who walk by. She can be nervous around men in general and tends to be much more comfortable and confident around women. With time and patience, she does warm up to men, but she would do best in a home with a female owner. Fiona is a joyful girl who loves to play with all kinds of toys. She's treat motivated, especially for peanut butter-flavored snacks-though she's not a fan of the real thing. She is affectionate, loves to snuggle, give kisses, and often rests her head sweetly on your shoulder. Fiona is ready to find a calm, loving home with a female owner and friendly male dogs.
