PLS CONTACT ROBIN FOR HELP OR WITH INTEREST Poor, sweet Winston, as he has been named, was found tied to a tree at a park. He was then brought to the San Diego shelter with a slight limp that resolved. However, some lameness later returned, so the shelter just did X-rays , yet found nothing. Afterwards, when Winston woke up, he was fine. Thus, the shelter is now watching him in case and is giving him gabapentin. He is now back on feet and ready for his forever home. Winston is estimated to be 5 years young and weighs 58 lbs. The shelter says, 'With his fancy tan coat and features, Winston is no ordinary dog. We don't know where he has been but we know that he needs gentle love and lots of it. He needs people who will kindly show him that he can trust them to care for him and that life is OK. To do that, Winston will want careful positive reinforcement training and socialization to build up his confidence and learn what is expected of him. With a dog savvy family who understands dogs like Winston, he will be a loyal and protective family member. We can help you with tips and resources for bringing dogs like Winston into a family so that they become a valued and appreciated member. Winston has the potential if you have the interest.
