About Lucia

Her name is Lucia. She's three years young and 52 pounds. She's a mixed breed dog. She's a rescue. Her previous owner was abusive and neglectful of her needs. Because of this experience, she is afraid of humans, very submissive and fear-aggressive. Once she trust you as a safe human, she is very loving, playful, and cuddly. I've had her for two years. She's gotten a lot better being around humans! She's able to be in most public settings with other people she does not know no issues especially when they respect her boundaries of no eye contact, no touch. Because of these boundaries, I do not recommend her for families with small children. She's great with dogs. I have an 8 year old dog that she plays with often. She does well meeting other dogs outside of her pack as well. I would highly recommend her to a home with a confident, loving and human trusting dog to help her further develop her own confidence and trust with her new pack. She loves to run so if you're a trail runner, she's your girl! She does not like to swim despite having webbed feet.
