Ranger was discovered in a filthy alley alongside four other abandoned dogs and a cat, all foraging for scraps in an overturned trash bin. While the others were merely thin, Ranger's condition was alarming, with his ribs prominently visible. Having frequented this location for several months, he was the latest victim of neglect. When offered food and water, it was very noticeable Ranger struggled to eat; it was clear that some of his back teeth were missing, and his jaw seemed misaligned. Unsure of the extent of his injuries, we secured him and took him to the vet, who confirmed that his jaw was broken, likely due to human abuse. About 8 months old, Ranger is still very much a puppy. He is gentle and affectionate, enjoying the company of both people and other dogs, often submitting to them in a charming manner. We are in the process of arranging an appointment with a canine dentist for him, and we will follow up as soon as possible. Currently, Ranger is in the care of a loving foster family but is in need of a permanent home. Consider adopting Ranger as he is truly a wonderful companion.
