Bruce is an English Mastiff whom we rescued from an abuse/neglect situation 3.5 years ago. Unfortunately, I have become disabled and am unable to properly care for him. He was poorly socialized as a puppy and has dog/human male/small animal aggression. Due to his size, aggression, and age, our local Humane Society cannot take him. He is a sweet dog with us, but can be very intimidating to visitors. He's in overall good health except for persistent ear infections. Unfortunately, he will have to be euthanized unless we can find a suitable home. Bruce will require someone with experience with large breed dogs, physical strength, no other animals, and a fenced yard. He likes to take walks, but has very low energy overall. He loves to nap and snores quite loudly! His manners are pretty good and he knows several commands. He makes a good guard dog as his bark is quite intimidating. He does not like most men he has met, especially if they are wearing hats or hoods or have beards. It will likely be a serious transition for Bruce and a prospective new owner.
