About Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a big heart, a little sass, and an A+ snuggle game. I rescued her a couple months ago with the intention of fostering until I could find her the safe, loving home she deserves - and now it's time to help her take that next step. She's completely healthy, crate-trained, and fine wearing a diaper since she doesn't seem to be fully potty trained yet. She's clean when crated and just needs someone patient who can help her build a routine. Pumpkin would do best in a calm, adult-only home with someone experienced in reading dog behavior. She can be reactive - especially if she feels like she's protecting 'her person' from other dogs or strangers. But once she trusts you, she's loyal, affectionate, and wants nothing more than to curl up next to you and relax.
