Pepper's foster mom says he's a total rockstar in obedience class - this boy LOVES having a job to do & would excel in ongoing training or even fun dog sports. He's got brains, drive, and charm (with a dash of goofball energy). He is doing well with training off a leash now as well! Whether it's long walks in the woods, walks in town for ice cream, or zoomies in an open field, Pepper's your guy. He's loyal, affectionate, and so eager to be someone's number one. The Ideal Home: Pepper would do best with experienced dog folks who understand a confident pup and can offer gentle structure. He's lived with cats and dogs and done fine, but he likes to be in charge - he will need some work with an experienced owner to learn to live harmoniously with other dogs. He's got a strong play style and needs reminders to be gentle, but he listens well - especially if you've got treats. He resource guards some around toys and sometimes his favorite human, but he responds quickly to a firm 'leave it.' With time and trust, (he already has the training), he'll shine even brighter.
