Senior boy who just wants a comfy spot in a corner of a nice home to sleep away most of the day. Buck is NOT TOLERATING THE NOISY SHELTER! He will NOT relieve himself in the shelter kennel and when he stayed overnight with a foster, he would whine at the door when he needed to go potty-a great sign that he is house trained! Staff are not able to get him outside once the clinic is closed. He isn't eating much at the shelter. He is overly stressed. He will just lay on the floor. It is very hard to watch. Buck has a sad story. He fell down a drainage pipe and couldn't get out. Animal control was able to get him out. His owners have not reclaimed him. He has a sad disposition, but he does warm up and will start to wag his tail. He ignores cats. Prefers that other dogs leave him alone. Does not like to be left alone in a kennel or fenced back yard. Only happy inside a home. Buck has an eye injury that the hospital staff feel is not causing him any pain. He is also heartworm positive. There are a few different treatment options and they should be discussed with your vet of choice. Guntersville Animal Hospital, 1609 Henry St, Guntersville, Al. Call 256-582-3184 for more info. No adoption fee.
