About Brutus

Meet Brutus - a giant, goofy, lovable marshmallow in a bear suit! ��%90%BE Brutus is a 1.5-year-old Newfoundland with a heart as big as his head (and trust us, that's saying something). He's incredibly sweet, wonderfully well-behaved, crate-trained, and totally down to snuggle. He gets along great with other dogs and loves kids-though due to his bouncy puppy energy and linebacker-like enthusiasm, we recommend kiddos 8 and up unless your toddler is also built like a rugby player. Brutus was (gasp) surrendered for being a terrible farm dog. Apparently, chickens and goats are not fans of his 'enthusiastic friendship' style. But hey, very few Newfs are cut out for farm life anyway-Brutus is more of a couch companion than a barnyard buddy. Now, about his current�'�| look. When he arrived, he was a matted mess-think dreadlocks, but make it fashionably unfortunate. He even had wire tangled in his fur, causing some painful hot spots. But after a spa day (or five), he's been cleaned up and lost a good chunk of his coat, particularly around his belly, butt, and legs. He currently resembles a half-shaved bear who's trying his best, and honestly? It's kind of adorable. He's fully vetted, microchipped, heartworm negative, and just needs a little polish on leash manners and basic obedience.
