About Leo

Update on Leo........We have decided to post an update on Leo as we have been swamped with emails, calls and questions about him. We just cannot keep up with them at this point and do not have the allotted amount of time to contact everyone back for an extended call to speak with them about him. So we will try our best to answer as many questions here as we can. Leo is like any other normal puppy. He runs and plays and gets around just fine. He was so young when he lost the lower part of his leg that he doesn't know any different. He came from a small breeder. They called us to place him for them as he wasnt a 'perfect' puppy for them to sell. He loves to play with other dogs, but being a puppy, the other dog will need to be ok with a very excited/playful puppy. He can go up shallow steps and can probably go up bigger steps as he grows, but he is a baby right now and his legs are short still. We are not looking to place him in an apartment living setting or in a home where he will spend his days setting in a cage waiting for his owners to get home from work. Once we receive you application we will then contact you(if approved) to schedule to meet/adopt. The process moves fairly quickly once we have received your application. We like to make sure our rescue are not only placed in a good fit for them but also for the adopter. Meet Leo...... Leo has a birth date of 2/16/25. He is a very handsome little boy and when we got the call on him we were told he was missing his hind foot. That his mommy unfortunately had taken it off when he was born. Today 5/28/25 we had our vet appointment and all went well. Our vet said Leo is in great health and he gets around great and will have no longer term problems getting around.
