About Ernesto

Ernesto is a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois who came to us after being pulled from the euthanasia list in DeSoto County, Florida. Despite his rough start, this boy is full of life, love, and loyalty. Ernesto isn't your typical high-energy Mal - he's got drive and focus where it counts, but he knows how to relax when the job is done. Toy-driven and water-loving, Ernesto thrives on purpose and play. He's a spring pole enthusiast with a classic 'maligator' snap, making him a great candidate for an active home or working placement. He's incredibly affectionate with people, walks beautifully on leash, and shifts into 'all business' mode when it's time to work. Ernesto is good with other dogs and respectful, dog-savvy children (just watch your fingers during tug games!). His loyalty and desire to please make him a dream for anyone looking for a steady, driven partner. Ernesto has been given a second chance - now he's ready to give someone his whole heart.
