About Boba

Meet Boba - a beautiful, energetic 2-year-old German Shepherd / Belgian Malinois mix with a lot of heart and a whole lot of drive. We've had him since he was just four months old, and in that time he's brought plenty of excitement, joy, and unforgettable moments to our lives. Boba is incredibly intelligent and active - he thrives on outdoor adventures like long walks, swimming, and playing fetch (his favorite!). He'd do best with an owner who has the time, energy, and space for him to run and explore, ideally with a yard or field to stretch his legs. He's had professional training, including obedience and advanced in-home sessions, and he's come a long way. That said, he can still be headstrong and needs someone experienced with confident, high-energy breeds. Boba is not a fit for homes with small animals or cats - his prey drive is strong, and once he's on the chase, he's locked in. While Boba has lived with another large dog and done well after a slow introduction, he can be anxious in new situations and needs time to warm up. Recently, after what seemed like a calm, happy day, Boba had an unexpected reaction and bit a child. It was a frightening and heartbreaking moment - especially as a parent. No stitches were required, but it made us realize we can't provide the environment Boba truly needs to thrive safely. Because of this, Boba is looking for a calm, structured home with no small children. Someone with breed experience who can give him the consistency, stimulation, and outlets his personality needs. He has so much potential and love to give - he just needs the right fit. The adoption fee goes directly to the Rescue Me organization and helps support their work in rehoming pets like Boba.
