About Indy

Hi there! Meet Indy, my 5-year-old red heeler (ACD), spayed. She has started fighting with my 7-year-old heeler mix (also female) so we are looking to rehome her. She is super smart, full of energy, fast, loud (I didn't get her until she was 2 1/2 yrs and she was allowed to bark freely before). She didn't know any commands or tricks before we got her, not even her name, though she was housebroken. So now she knows sit, down, come, stay (for a short time), leave it, off, touch, find it (nose work game). She also knows a few tricks, like spin, roll over, and shake. She loves playing fetch! We are working on 'calm' when inside because she just wants to play nonstop. She has a strong herding instinct, at least with balls. I think she could be taught to be a working cattle dog fairly quickly. And she LOVES water. She is very confident and loves to be right next to you most of the time. She is a great walking, hiking, and paddle board buddy. Oh and she is microchipped and current on vaccines. She is fine with the male dog I have, and hasn't ever had issues with any other dogs, but I would be cautious with other dogs in the home for now. Unless another dog in the home is very submissive, she should probably be the only inside pet. She has been around cats and horses and will leave them alone if told to. Not sure how she would do if a cat were inside. Adpotion fee is $100. This is to ensure she goes to a home that will care for her. She comes with her harness, bed, life vest, herding ball (if it's still in good shape), several food dispensing toys, food bowl, and other favorite toys.
