About Jett

He is either a purebred border collie or possible a border collie/Aussie mix, although he is build like a BC. Jett looks to be 1-2 years old, with very playful puppy energy. He's around 50 lbs, leggy and lean. He's bouncy and very sweet. Jett was rescued from a hoarding situation with several other dogs (same breed types, some clearly his litter mates) so he has had very limited exposure to the world. He warmed up to me VERY quickly, but he is shy when new people come over. He's friendly when he meets people on walks, though, so he's coming along quickly. Jett loves walks. He loves other dogs. In fact, he needs a home with another playful dog both for his sense of security and so as to burn off some of his playful energy. Jett is a wonderful dog here. He is sweet, eager to please, open hearted, and well behaved. He crates well and is housebroken. He taught himself the dog door! He was also fine with a cat in a previous foster home. He was nervous around their young child, however. Given Jett's initial shyness, we will only be adopting him to a home where he can do some visiting back and forth before the final transfer. That's why he is only available to a home within about an hour's drive, as otherwise it would just be too difficult. Who all lives in your household (including ages)? what other pets do you have (include species and age)? Do you have a fenced in yard and if so how high is the fence? And what kind of daily activity do you engage in with your dog? This information will help us to determine if Jett is a possible match. We do not arrange meets until we have assessed this, so please, no emails just asking to meet him.
