About Pistachio

Hi all, I am looking for a special home for my Shiba Inu, Pistachio...due to personal circumstances I have to find her a new family. This was a really difficult decision for me and I need to feel like it is the right home for her to go to. I would prefer this to be her forever home. She does get along with kids, but I would lean towards older (over 8) She is 10yrs old and very quiet in general. Sleeps most of the time, and loves her little bed, but will play fetch if treats are involved. She does not have a kennel! She free roams my room or the house when I am gone. She is NOT an off leash dog, unless you have a secure yard. She is a diva and boss lady so smaller dogs are not a good combination. She likes to be boss dog and does not like other dogs trying to mount her. NO CATS. She is scared of them! She has had a surgery for bladder stones and is doing very well ever since, but she does have to have prescription food! Must be a clean household, no food or trash left around cause she will get into it. She is house trained, but has a sensitive stomach, so no human food treats or sudden changes at all! If the house space is big she made need a slow adjustment. Shiba Inus are known to be quiet dogs, independent, and stubborn. They shed twice a year and her claws do need trimming frequently.
