Momo is a 1-year-old dog who has been at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter since November. He was surrendered by his owner due to cancer, and while he came in fearful, he's always been friendly. Momo is a sensitive boy, and the stress of the kennel environment is taking its toll on him. He's been on outings with staff members and shows his true, well-behaved nature when he's outside the shelter. He also loves other dogs; they even help bring him out of his shell. He is also respectful of cats and their boundaries. Momo is loyal and bonds deeply with his 'person,' warming up to women quickly and others with patience and slow introductions. He desperately needs to get out of the shelter and into a loving home or rescue. Please help us find him the second chance he truly deserves.
