About Peanut

Adoption Fee: $300
Australian Kelpie / Miniature Pinscher
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Peanut This cute-as-a-button puppy is named Peanut. Once Peanut was surrendered to us, he went right into foster care. His foster family has done a beautiful job of loving and socializing Peanut. He lives with two other pups and children. As a result, Peanut is well-adjusted and confident. Peanut is a happy and friendly puppy. He eagerly welcomes people and loves to be around. We think he is a heeler/kelpie mix and will be on the small side. He has the most adorable ears and shiny bright eyes that just melt your heart. He loves playing with other dogs, he's great with kids and he is fine with cats. Peanut is learning his potty-training and walks well on a leash. He's crate trained and travels well. He's a bit young and small in size, but he is far advanced having lived in a home for his whole life. He is an energetic puppy. He loves chewing on his toys but is not mouthy with humans. Peanut is a tiny little thing, we don't think he'll get bigger than 20 pounds at the most. He recently had a 'service' visit to a local nursing home and made everyone so happy with his warm smile and gentle kisses. Little Peanut is ready to find his forever family. If looking for an adorable puppy to welcome to your heart and home, Peanut is all that and more. If interested in welcoming Peanut to your heart and home, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please email our shelter ([email protected]) or call our shelter at 706-865-4135 and leave a message to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
