About Taeko

Meet Taeko, who comes to us from the community. She is a 2-year-old, 57 lb., Plott Hound mix. Taeko was previously in a home with children and another dog. The children, she loved, the other dog, not so much. While Taeko does play with other dogs, she is dog selective and prefers to give all her affection and attention to her human friends and family. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that; especially when she has so many endearing qualities to share. She definitely earns an A+ for her leash manners, respecting strangers and other dogs when passing by them, her car manners, and most of all, her unconditional love. She is calm, quiet, well-behaved, relaxed, content sitting (or sleeping) in the back seat, and has no issues getting in or out of the car. She's also a wonderful walking companion who doesn't mind pausing for a few head scratches and hugs. Taeko is housetrained, crate trained, spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and knows her basic commands. She is very smart. She has captured the hearts of the volunteer walkers and staff at boarding and if given the chance, she'll capture yours as well. She has had no meet and greets since joining boarding and we are heartbroken because we know she has the potential to be an awesome pet!
