About SUMMER

Adoption Fee: $200.00
Pomeranian
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

SUMMER is the youngest 13 year old, 19 pound cream colored fluffy Pomeranian you could hope to meet! She was adopted from us in 2018 and recently returned due to an unfortunate domestic situation. SUMMER is a sweet girl who loves hanging out on the couch with you. She is cuddly, affectionate, and will happily climb over any dog to be close to you. When you come home, she'll bounce excitedly by your side until you say hi. At night, she happily curls up next to you to sleep. SUMMER is playful with toys and will sometimes engage with other dogs, though she's a bit aloof and might miss their 'no thanks' signals, so gentle, tolerant dog friends are best! Her ideal home will have another friendly, calm dog in it. She is good with older kids, but little ones with their fast movements and louder voices are too unpredictable for her comfort. We were told that she is ok with cats. SUMMER is potty trained and good on walks (once she knows you, which takes about two seconds), but if something scares her she may try to run. A fenced yard is absolutely required for her safety. Loud noises scare her, so she'll need a calm, reassuring environment. SUMMER has some separation anxiety and she may bark for a minute when her favorite person leaves, even if someone else is still there. Because of this, she'd do best in a home without shared walls (no apartments). SUMMER has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her adoption fee is $200. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits.
