About Lailona

Lailona (Lona) is a 2-3 year bundle of love and snuggles. She's a small and energetic girl, weighing appx. 35lbs who loves to be with her humans. We believe Lona was dumped by a backyard breeder. She suffered a broken leg and back injury that was never treated and has since healed on its own. She's visited the orthopedic vet and they do not recommend treatment at this time. Despite her previous injuries, Lona loves to play, go on walks, and can jump on beds, couches and climb stairs with ease. Lona would love a home with another playful dog and is great with older children. Lona will do best in a home without small children and without dogs that have history of resource guarding or aggression. She is crate trained and has been on several road trips. She is currently receiving slow-kill treatment for heartworms that requires medication twice daily which she takes with ease. For this reason, Lona will be considered a foster-to-adopt until she is heartworm free. We will pay for her treatment. Lona is located in Wilmington, NC.
