Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

BDRA is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charity that accepts no fees when helping individuals or other rescues. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the animals. If you'd like to help us continue our mission, please donate at: https://www.blinddogrescue.org/donate-1. Name: Cavey Age: 3 years, DOB 5/2022 (owner believes on the 25th) Breed: Border Collie/Heeler Mix, 30 pounds Sex: Female (spayed) Location: Cattaraugus County, New York Owner is moving at the end of July, Cavey needs a home by then. Vet Info: Cavey is current with her vaccinations but has not had a recent heartworm test. She is microchipped and spayed. She is blind but can possibly see some shadows. She has no other health issues. Dog Info: Cavey, was born to a pregnant dog that the owner rescued. Owner noticed visual problems as a puppy. Cavey is shy around new people but is not aggressive or possessive at all. She starts out timid but will adapt quickly to new people and surroundings. She runs and plays with other dogs and is good with all people and animals. She is currently living with three other dogs and two cats. She enjoys traveling and getting baths. She enjoys being held and getting pet and scratched. Cavey sleeps in a crate at night and is crated when left alone. When the owner is home, she has free run of the home and fenced in yard. She will bark or trot around when she needs to go out. Owner is visually impaired, as well, and once in a while misses the potty cues and she might have an accident, but that rarely happens. Cavey does not like the rain or cold. Cavey is leash trained. She responds to the commands: Come, sit, let's go potty and easy (when giving her a treat). Cavey is a sweet girl that would make a great addition to any home. She can be adopted with or without her sister (from another litter), Gracie, posted separately. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them. These dogs are with their owners and are not in BDRA foster homes.
