COLE is only at the shelter because of his family's housing insecurities. He lived with 5 adults, 2 children, 2 cats and 3 other dogs (Babs who is still in need, and the other dog since euthanized) and left with no information! Cole was playful and respectful of everyone. Cole is a lively, affectionate boy who is always ready to bring excitement and companionship into his future home. He greets people with soft eyes and a wagging tail, eager to interact and engage. His playful spirit shines through, whether he's happily trotting on a walk or lounging indoors. He enjoys meeting familiar faces, and his social nature makes him a wonderful companion for a family looking for a dog that thrives on human interaction. Cole loves enrichment activities, happily engaging with toys and showing off his wiggles when spoken to. Beyond his playful energy, Cole also has a love for adventure. He enjoys bath time, he loves wading in the water and isn't shy about hopping into a kiddie pool for some fun. His enthusiasm for exploration makes him a great fit for a home that appreciates both active outings and cozy indoor time. He responds well to petting and treats from familiar handlers, gently accepting affection. On walks, Cole loves to sniff and explore, showing curiosity about his surroundings. His eagerness to move and engage with his environment keeps outings lively and entertaining. Cole has a strong bond with people, always eager to be involved in whatever is happening around him. He enjoys spending time in common areas with his family, making sure he's always a part of the action. Whether he's playfully bouncing around, responding to his cues like 'sit' and 'stay,' or simply lounging alongside his loved ones, his affectionate and social personality shines through. He is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a little bit of adventure to a loving home that will appreciate his playful energy and warm heart. Cole's heart has been hurt 3 times. First in 2023 when he came to the shelter for the first time, then when his fellow housemate Rambo attacked him when he was just trying to eat his own meal, and now for a third time when his family faces eviction. Let's not hurt Cole again. He is set to die and it's high time he found the forever family that will commit to him and cherish him forever. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me. I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together! I would do best in a home with only adult humans. COLE, ID# 183831, @ 7.5 Yrs.
