This is Duke, he is just over a year old he was born in January 2024 (couldn't get exact date out of the people we got him from). He is a Great Pyrenees - husky mix. He is UTD on his shots (other than rabies) we have always bought the shots from TS and did them ourselves. He is not fixed. He is extremely protective over his people. He has to be introduced a certain way and a few times before he will be comfortable with someone being around. He absolutely loves little kids as you can see. He is a great dog WHEN he wants to be. He knows basic commands and a few tricks - sit, stay (still working on but getting there), load up, come here, shake(with both paws and while laying down), up(jumps up with front paws on your chest), sit pretty, stand up, lay down%BD'%BD| etc. he is not kennel trained. He is leash trained but it can't be on his collar the leash has to be clipped to his harness. He is potty trained! He loves to be picked up and carried. He loves hugs and even gives them back. He is a farm dog, he loves to run, play in the mud and water, He is LOVED AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF! *** DOWNFALLS**** He's not afraid to tear your shit up including walls, door frames, gets into the trash and tears whatever he can to shreds%BD'%BD| he CAN NOT be trusted inside alone. He will jump up on any table or in any window that he can to see outside. He is a runner and will chase people all the way back to their house. He barks at cars passing by until he can no longer see them anymore. He has bit 2 family members that have just walked into our house(which was their fault for just walking in but not the point), he has to be introduced a certain way for him to be even a little comfortable with people. He has no sense for personal space (which is a normal dog problem %BD%BD%A4%BD). He is also not fixed. Our biggest problem right now other than what's listed above - is ticks. We have tried the liquid that goes down his back, collars, washes, etc. nothing helps. We picked over 30 off of him one day! Every day it's at least 10 we pull off him. He is bringing them in the house where my children are and just this week alone we've picked 2 off my 2 year old - I am far from okay with that! My children come first over any animal %BD%BD%A4%BD%BD%BD%8F%BC%BD'%BD%8D%BD%BD'%BD%8F He does not have a rehoming fee. I do want him to go to a home where he will get the love and attention that he needs! He comes with food, food/water dishes, 3 beds and his favorite blanket, a ton of toys and treats, his leash and harness, and any other things I can find of his. We would love for him to go somewhere we can still see him as we do love him, I just can't take him destroying my house and the ticks being on my children anymore! Located in Canyonville, OR but willing to meet up to an hour away!
