About ROXY

We are feeling so badly for poor Roxy. She was at the shelter before due to her family's utter stupidity, and then they reclaimed her when she was put on the list, only to return her again! Roxy didn't deserve that tumultuous household and their instability. She deserves a calm, quiet, loving home where people respect each other and HER! Share her to the moon and back. Don't you love people who have a 'heated argument' (translation: screaming match) with their 'partner' in front of their dog and then when the dog gets frightened and wants to 'save' her owner, the dog is the one dumped to die because the humans acted like damn babies. That's what happened to ROXY, and now this poor girl is facing a death sentence. And her idiot parent, who should have dumped their 'partner' rather than Roxy, didn't even have the common decency to leave some nice notes about all Roxy's GREAT qualities. We know she is a good girl because it shows in her enrichment notes. Roxy is a gentle, curious, and playful pup who has a sweet and loyal nature. She thrives in a calm, stable, quiet home and has an affectionate nature. Roxy loves toys, eagerly catching and chewing them. She has a playful spirit. Roxy takes treats gently, because she is polite and has a trusting demeanor. Though she can be a little shy at first with new friends, she has warmed to her handlers in the short time she's been at the shelter. She has built trust and confidence with them, and when they approached her with kindness and patience, she engaged in fun activities like swatting her ball around or wagging her tail while enjoying treats. Roxy just needs (and she appreciates) a calm, stable environment and finds comfort in blankets, toys, and quiet interactions. With a compassionate, caring and experienced family she will be a devoted and loving companion, ready to bring joy and warmth to her forever family.
