Sadly, the shelter told us 'it was reported that the owner is homeless and left the dog with friends. While at the friends, a minor, was comforting the dog they were bit on their right hand.' Unfortunately, we do not have further information on the owner at this time. He will be in quarantine until 5/22 & will only be available to be pulled by rescue groups. I have copied his medical notes below. MEDICAL: 05/12/25 VETERINARY HOSPITAL: DISCOLORATION OF TONGUE AND WHEEZING. POSSIBLE KENNEL COUGH/ INTACT MALE/ ~ 6 MONTHS OLD/ MATTED HAIR ON REAR END/ TX: VET ADMINISTERED TORBUGESIC 10MG/ML INJECTION AND A DEXAMETHASONE 2MG/ML INJECTION. IF NO IMPROVEMENT, RECOMMEND XRAYS AND CBC/CHEM. RX: DOXYCYCLINE 100MG BID X 14 DAYS AND TEMARIL P 2 TABS BID X 5 DAYS. 05/13/25 DOG HAS RR 44 AND IS NOT CYANOTIC OR DYSPNEIC. DOG IS UNDERWEIGHT AND QAR. WILL CONTINUE TO ADMINISTER MEDS AS PRESCRIBED AND MONITOR. 05/15/25 DOG IS BAR/ EATING AND DRINKING WNL. RESPIRATORY RATE WNL. WILL CONTINUE MEDICATIONS AS PRESCRIBED.' Therefore, we are desperately looking for a savvy foster and/or rescue to save this puppy in time. Since most rescue groups need a foster to save this puppy.
