About Freckles

We are looking to rehome a 3-year-old Aussie mix. My mother was given an Aussie mix puppy 3 years ago. At the time she lived in Fruitland, UT (very rural) and her dogs could run free outside. Her circumstances have changed drastically. Since November she has been living with my husband and me in our 900 sq ft house in Salt Lake City with 3 other dogs. Freckles positive side ��%BD'� She is a lover! She is so sweet and just wants to be loved back, all the time ��%BD'� She is very smart. ��%BD'� She is kennel trained ��%BD'� She is good with 2 of the dogs at my house. The issues ��%BD'� My mother is sedentary, and Freckles gets zero exercise. ��%BD'� Freckles is bonded to my mother and resource guards from the other dogs ��%BD'� She and my mastiff fight several times a week! ��%BD'� We live in the city and Freckles aggressively barks and tries to attack when there is someone at the door (mailman every day), on the other side of the fence (neighbors on all sides), or even down the block. ��%BD'� Freckles is scared of new people, especially men. ��%BD'� She will not warm up to my nephew (who is very calm and good with animals) whom we have 4 days (minimum) a month. Things we have tried ��%BD'� We had Freckles spayed in February ��%BD'� Bark collar - She gets shocked, cries, and keeps barking. Over and over. ��%BD'� Board and train - I have some videos I can send you. She did really well. The problem is that my mother says she will follow through but has reverted completely back to previous behaviors. ��%BD'� Separation/Kennel - She is kennel trained. My house is 900 sq ft. There is not enough room for separation. ��%BD'� We have reached out to people we know have the appropriate lifestyle, and they have reached out to others. No one can take her right now. My mother loved freckles with all her heart. She also understands the Freckles' life really sucks right now and Freckles is making my husband and me absolutely crazy. She knows that Freckles needs a different life and that she is not wired like the other 3 dogs. (They are very lazy!) The last dogfight put my husband in tears. He is at the end of his rope. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
