Hello, I need to rehome my 5 year old Great Pyrenees, Eira. My wife is 6 mos pregnant with our first child. Eira is the best, most loving and affectionate dog I've ever known. We rescued her from an Amish farm as a puppy when they were mistreating her. She used to be distrusting, anxious, and terrified of every noise. She has come so far considering her experience on the farm. She has had loving home with us for 4 years and she is the sweetest dog alive, but too territorial now especially with the pregnancy. She is a 75lb lap dog who can't get enough human attention. All she wants to do is protect her flock and keep her people safe. She is silly and loves to nap on people as much as she can. Why we have to rehome her - She is too reactive and territorial for us to keep in our home with a newborn. She barks at loud noises (we live near noisy downtown Grand Rapids) and her loud bark can be frightening to guests. Rabbits and squirrels stay out of our yard because they know not to come on her turf. We need to rehome Eira ASAP. Please let me know if you can help in any way
