About Brownie

Meet Brownie! This handsome 2-year-old, 55 lb. purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever is the total package-smart, social, and full of fun! Brownie came from a breeder as a puppy and has grown up with a family that adores him. Unfortunately, due to his family's increasingly busy schedule, they're no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. Brownie is super active, friendly, and playful-your classic lab! He loves running around the yard, playing fetch, chewing on bones, and soaking up affection. He's incredibly intelligent and eager to please but hasn't had any training, so he'll need a patient and committed adopter to help him learn his basic manners. He is, however, housetrained and knows 'sit.' He will thrive in an active home with a strong, confident handler who can provide him with plenty of exercise and enrichment. Brownie has been trained on an invisible fence and would love a yard where he can run and play safely. He currently lives with a young child and does well, but he can be a bit jumpy and excitable, so any kids in the home should be comfortable with a rambunctious dog. Brownie was never neutered, but that will be taken care of prior to adoption, and that will hopefully help curb some of his behaviors.
