About Kimber

Kimber is a very intelligent and trainable dog, loves cheese and is very treat motivated. She is also very loving and wants to please her people. She is also house broken, crate trained, good on a leash, and with an e-collar. She is also very energetic and will work all day. I have owned cattle dogs in the past and she is more driven than my previous ones. She loves chasing anything thrown and diving into the pond, either by the dock or rock wall. She is very prey driven chasing goats, horses, cats, and other small animals if allowed. To date she has not hurt anything that she has chased, she prefers the chase. When my cats will not run, she tries to get them into running and does fixate on them, so a no cat home is probably best. She gets along great with other dogs when playing and working, but when relaxing around the house she does resource guard but has only been a minor problem, no one has been hurt. She is also weary of strangers and with time will warm up. She would be great in areas of dock diving or sport. We adopted Kimber from the local pound and are unable to handle her. She would be a great pet for the right person.
