Meet Buddy: A Tale of Hope, Goofiness, and a Search for Home On Good Friday, April 18th, 2025, a little miracle wandered into the lives of a kind-hearted family. Dusty-pawed and wide-eyed, an 8-month-old shepherd mix pup-now lovingly called Buddy-was found roaming the streets, unsure of where to go next. Weighing about 45 pounds, Buddy is still growing into those big paws of his, destined to be a good-sized dog with an even bigger heart. When he was found, he had no tags, no microchip, and no clues to help bring him back to his original owners. The family that found him did everything they could-posting flyers, making calls, searching online-but weeks passed, and no one came forward. It broke their hearts to realize that Buddy may have been left behind. But that didn't break Buddy's spirit. Though a bit shy at first, Buddy is a total sweetheart once he gives you a sniff and decides you pass his 'trust test.' After that, he's all love-leaning in for pets, wagging his tail, and happily showing off his goofy side. He's still figuring out this whole 'life' thing and is adorably clumsy, like a teenager in oversized shoes. His favorite things? A good chew bone, a tug-of-war rope, chasing that rope at full speed, and a red laser pointer that turns him into a blur of happy chaos. Buddy is wonderful with kids and gets along beautifully with other dogs. And oh-he LOVES food. After fending for himself, every meal feels like a celebration. He's not picky, he's just grateful. Now, Buddy's looking for a forever family to call his own. He dreams of a home with people who will laugh at his clumsy zoomies, cuddle him during quiet moments, and maybe toss a rope around the backyard once in a while.
