Name: PEANUT Breed: Bulldog Age. : 5 years old (65#) Sex: Male (not neutered) Location: Middlesex County, MA Vet Info: UTD on vaccines (not verified). HW status unknown. Owner reports: Peanut was born blind. HIs owners can not longer take care of him due to financial hardship. 'Peanut has a current skin condition. I brought him a few months ago to the vet because his belly and chest was red and seemed to have dry flakes. He also started to smell very bad. The vet recommended some medicine shampoo and other items which did not help. That visit cost me almost 1,500 and I am currently out of work so I have not been able to return for the follow ups. I have purchased several over the counter shampoos and they seem to help temporarily but if I don't bathe him at least every other day the smell returns.' Peanut is described as an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. He is said to be housebroken but not leash trained. Peanut is said to be good with adults, children of all ages and other dogs. According to his owner, 'Peanut is very quick to learn the layout of new surroundings. Loves interacting with people even strangers.' 'Peanut was born blind. I initially took him to a vet when I received him from the breeder, the vet told me his eyes function correctly but there is a 'disconnect between the eyes and the brain' so he doesn't see any picture. I would describe him as completely blind, however at night when it's very dark he seems to follow flashlights.' 'Peanut is truly a good dog.' Can anyone help sweet Peanut? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
