She is a 9-year-old pointer and pitbull mix. Her long-term owner adopted her from Paws when she was 3. Her first three years were tough, and she endured some trauma. She is very energetic for an older dog, and she is a great walking companion. She has never lived with kids, but she met my 7-year-old nephew, and she was very good with him. She would likely do well in a house with no kids or older kids, simply because she is older and isn't really into playing with toys or playing rough. She has lived with cats in the past and mostly ignores them. She is uncertain about other dogs. When walking with her today, she seemed to be on alert when passing dogs, but unbothered by people. She also seems to be protective of her home environment. When people were passing by the house, she is quick to bark at the window. She may settle down over time. We think she might just be confused about her new environment. When hanging out with her, she is calm and really enjoyed pets and belly rubs. She is super adorable.
