About Char

Meet Char-aka Charbroiled Angus Beef Slider Dawg (and yes, he LOVES when you say his full name!) -a young mixed breed (likely Border Collie with possible Malinois traits), under 2 years old, neutered, and full of goofy, loyal energy. We adopted Char from the shelter just two days after he came in as a stray. He's incredibly smart, sweet, and wants nothing more than to be near his people. He's also high-energy, sensitive, and needs more structure and stimulation than we can realistically provide at this point in our lives. Char is still learning how to manage his excitement-sometimes he uses his mouth to get attention (nipping at hands or clothes). He's not aggressive; in fact, he has never shown aggression towards us, even during discipline. He just hasn't fully learned boundaries yet. We love to love on our dogs, but Char gets a bit nervous if you lock your arms tightly around him when cuddling-he's not aggressive, just a little claustrophobic and prefers having some space. He also gets overwhelmed in tight, overstimulating spaces and thrives when he has room, structure, and calm energy around him. While Char is often protective of his people and can be hesitant or unsure around other dogs, we believe that being around a well-balanced, calm dog could help him mature and feel more secure.
