About Mable

This pixie, smooth coat Border Collie is Mable. Mable is 8 years old and weighs 34 pounds. Mable is a very smart and polite gal who knows: outside, stay, wait, down, dinner, come or come on, no. She also knows to wait at any gate or external door before being asked to come in or out. She is house and crate trained. Mable is nice with both men, women, and school age kids. She has a timid moment at first meeting, but then loves to be pet. Quiet folks who give good rubs are her favorites. Mable is good with all other dogs...young, old, large, small, active, sedate, etc. She enjoys the company of other dogs and has a good time at the dog park, dog beach. Mable likes hiking trails, too. She likes to play chase with dogs and has great focus. If you wanted to try herding as a hi by, this girl had what it takes. Mable is solid off leash with good recall. She is fine on leash. She has gone camping with her foster and has a great time. Mable is a sweet, shy gal with a quirky personality. She will appreciate a quiet home rather than a really social home. She will enjoy having a blanket in a corner where she can see what's going on because she does like to observe, and then she isn't shy about coming up to ask for pets and rubs. When it's time to go outside, she gets a cute, excited wiggle and wants to play a bit. Mable is perfect for someone who likes the quirky, sweet type of Border Collie who can certainly keep up with you but also has an off switch when at home. Mable is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Ventura, CA. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
