About Jackson

Please help �٪%8F our loving, smart, snuggly, playful, happy boy Jackson is looking for his new forever home. He is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd red merle with blue eyes and a full tail. We had a baby a year and a half ago, and Jackson hasn't been able to adjust to the new addition to our family the way we had hoped. It absolutely breaks our hearts, but we know he will be happier and live his best life as an only 'child'. Jax loves licking people's faces, getting belly rubs , snuggling with his humans, fetching frisbees and tennis balls, rounding up his herding ball, swimming, hiking and trail running, chewing on nylabones, and learning new tricks to earn rewards. He knows many commands including sit, lie down, crate (known in our house as 'Jacksonville'), heel, loose-leash walking, paw, and 'Jackson five' (high five), among others. He is neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on all his vaccines and flea/tick/heart worm prevention, a healthy weight at just under 50 pounds, and overall healthy. Jackson is crate trained but prefers sleeping with his humans and does not spend much time crated. He is specifically looking for a home with no other dogs and no young children . Jackson was our first 'baby', and we will do anything we can to find him the best forever home. We are located in Massachusetts but will happily drive him to the right people who will love and care for him as much as we have for the last 4 years.
