About Midas

Adoption Fee: $400
Great Dane mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

LOCATION: Abbeville, GA DOB: 10/08/2022 Meet Midas-a name that suits him perfectly, because everything he touches turns to gold, especially hearts. This fawn Great Dane mix is as striking as he is soulful, and while his size may impress you first, it's his gentle loyalty and quirky charm that will win you over for good. Midas is the kind of dog who will race you to the door the second he senses it's time to go outside. But don't be fooled by his excitement-he's got manners. He'll sit patiently, eyes locked on yours, waiting for the go-ahead to bolt out into the fresh air. After a quick bathroom break, he'll come running back to you with a full heart and fast feet, bumping your foot and trying to sit on it, just to be as close as possible. He loves exploring the land, especially if there's a puddle or a stream nearby. Water is his favorite discovery, but so is your quiet company. He'll happily trot beside you while you tend to animals or simply enjoy the outdoors together. Midas is house trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. He's wonderfully respectful of farm life, letting chickens roam and pigs snuffle nearby without ever giving chase. New people can make him a bit uneasy at first-especially men-but he doesn't need perfection, just patience. With a slow introduction and your reassuring presence, he'll start to trust. Women tend to win him over more easily, and once he knows someone, he's ready to play or lean in for affection. With dogs, he plays rough but fair-he just doesn't realize he's bigger than most of his friends and wants everyone to keep up. Midas is a devoted companion with a thoughtful, observant nature. During walks, he'll sit when asked, looking up into your eyes for guidance. At home, he's a movie-day couch buddy who lives for closeness, but when it's time to go, just say 'Pen,' and he heads straight to his xxl doggy den without fuss. A home with adults who can offer both affection and structure would be a great fit for him-especially someone willing to help him build confidence around men. Midas doesn't need much to thrive. Just a little patience, a lot of love, and someone willing to be his trusted person. Once you earn it, his loyalty is pure gold. ========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .
