About Shorty

Shorty needs someone with patience and time. He's funny and snuggly and loves his stuffed animals. He's very smart, wants to please and protect BUT he can quickly turn possessive and attack, sometimes unprompted. Shorty is temperamental and has some triggers that change his behavior in an instant. He has been pretty isolated and had minimal socialization with other pets and people. There have been a small handful of other animals that's he's eventually warmed up to and was able to coexist alongside. When he was a pup he jumped off the bed and broke his left leg which still gives him pain and a slight limp...but when he's really happy you can't even tell because he runs through the house at speeds that would rival Mario Andretti. He loves beef jerky and will do tricks at the mention of it. He loves laying in the sunshine, but beware, if a car/animal/person approaches, he's up and running in attack-mode with his bark leading the way and his mission unceasing. He has not been thoroughly house trained but will try to tell you when he has to go out or will try to hit his target if a potty pad is out. He wants and needs lots of love and someone who can be with him 24/7 as he hates being alone.
