Hello everyone, we've found 2 strays that we believe are a Shepard mix about 2 months ago. The poor things were skinny, weak, scared and had ears that were in terrible condition, we have reason to believe they were abused and neglected. We posted around and checked for a chip with no luck (go figure). We've been working to get them in a rescue or a shelter with no luck, we got their shots paid for (rabies, DHPP, flea/tick medicine) and soon found a rescue to cover the costs for one dogs ear cleaning and spay. (Pink collar) she is doing so much better. They both are now eating well, and have much more energy, although we do have 2 dogs of our own, a German Shepard and a Doberman, and the strays are aggressive towards our dogs so we have to keep them separate and constantly cycle them outside. We are military so we are gone most of the day, our dogs have the freedom of going in and out of the house but we have to keep the strays in the garage until we get home, which is better then being on the streets! We got a quote for the second stray and it came out to around $750, unfortunately it is getting pricey to maintain 4 dogs, we are not able to give them the time and our full undivided attention at this time. I will be deploying overseas soon and it is too much for one person, we avoided taking them to a shelter in fear of them being put down, at this time that may be the next step, we'd hate to see them on that list and pray they get treatment and find a good home if not we will probably end up taking them back until we can find them a home, we are looking for anyone in the SoCal area that is interested in adoption or helping out these 2 dogs in anyway possible. Please feel free to reach out to me for more information on the dogs, thank you!
