Buckwheat is affectionate and loyal but needs a little time to acclimate and assimilate into a new family. She is very good with children and is more guarded with some adults until she becomes familiar with them. She is good with most dogs, but, at home, it is best not to have another alpha. Her previous owner travels and can't take her with him. She is an excellent companion for someone who is familiar with the mastiff temperament.
