About Phoebe

Phoebe sadly spent her life being bred for profit. She is 3 years old and 28lbs. In the short time she's been with us, she has made amazing strides towards trusting humans, and is getting more brave by the day! She used to pee anytime someone looked at her and would dart in the opposite direction, but now she lounges by her person, asks them for pets, snuggles with her toys and loves to give kisses. She really is an amazing dog and will make a great companion. She is much more confident when there is another dog around. She LOVES food and will do a very cute dance when it is food time. She likes to zoom around the yard with a toy and will circle her human to make sure they're paying attention. Inside, she likes to lounge on the couch chewing on a bone. She didn't have a lot of human interaction, nor exposure to things other dogs enjoy, like being walked on a leash or taking a treat from someone's hand. She is, understandably, a bit nervous around people, but without a hint of aggression. Just uncertain what will happen if she does something 'wrong'. She is still too nervous for walks, so she needs a fully fenced yard. She needs a patient adopter that will give her time to love them back and show she trusts them.
