About Melody

If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and athletic companion, Melody is your girl! This 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog is the perfect mix of sweetness and energy, ready to bring joy to her new forever home. She adores playtime with her dog friends, outdoor adventures, and lots of cuddles! Melody craves human companionship and while confident with her doggie friends, she's sweet and submissive with humans, and more mellow than most ACDs. While ACDs in our care have adoption experience restrictions, Melody seems to be more mellow than most ACDs. She's content doing whatever activity that is planned for the day and settles in quickly. She still needs to be engaged and given a job, and more importantly, supervised around children as this breed will herd kids until guided otherwise with positive reinforcement and consistency. Children are usually not recommended unless parents are experienced with the breed or willing to hear them OUCH across the next zip code.
