About Mattis

We are looking for a loving, experienced home for our Rottweiler, Mattis. He is approximately 3 years old and has been with our family since November 2024. Mattis is house-trained, neutered, and knows basic commands. He's been a wonderful, loyal companion and is especially gentle and affectionate with our small children-he has never shown aggression toward us or them. He is a big goof, approximately 95 lbs. However, Mattis does have some behavioral tendencies with strangers. While he's done well with many people, he did bite a neighbor. Because we don't know his full history and live in a small neighborhood, we've made the extremely difficult decision to rehome him. We're hoping to find someone with experience working with Rottweilers or large breeds-someone who understands their needs and is willing to give Mattis the structure, patience, and second chance he deserves. This is a heartbreaking choice for our family, and we're committed to making sure he goes to a safe, loving home. If you think you could be the right fit for Mattis, please reach out.
