About CoCo

Coco was born on December 26, 2023. Her mother was being fostered and the foster was rehoming the puppies. I was looking for a dog for my children. We live in an apartment and she's really too big to be an apartment dog. I recently acquired a new job that involves six days a week and 12 hours a day. She's a wonderful young dog and just doesn't deserve to be home alone and kenneled for so long during the day. She barks when people knock or walk in while kenneled, but not often if she's out with us. She is not fearful, and gets along with all people and dogs. We've never had her around cats. She growls while playing with the kids and her stuffed animals, but it's in a playful way. She's been potty mat trained, but will potty outside when the kids walk her. She eats very fast and doesn't seem to have an off switch to stop, so we only feed her 2 cups at a time. She likes belly rubs, snuggling, and playing with her stuffed toys. She is difficult for the kids to handle walking on the leash because of her energy and exuberance. She will need some leash training. My kids have been able to talk me out of this option for quite some time, but with my new job this just isn't fair to her. I'm not sure of her exact weight, but she's close to the size of shepherds or huskies. Her mom was of the Catahoula leopard breed, Dad was a mix. Another person has a DNA test done on one of the puppies. I can provide a copy of that if you'd like.
