Banjo is a great family dog and gets along well with our female cattle dog. He is purebred with papers and is 7 years old and full of life. We foster teenagers and has never had any issues. I rescued him 4 years ago from a working horse ranch. Unfortunately Banjo has a very high prey instinct that cannot be controlled and has killed many of our chickens, ducks, geese. I do not want to pen him or muzzle him daily. He also has some anxiety that mostly shows itself during storms and if he gets to stay under or near your bed he stays calm. He is affectionate when he wants to be like many heelers and actually has a purr(like a cat) that comes out as a growl when petting him or playing with him. He loves walks, car rides, house trained, likes to go fishing/kayaking/cycling and can run up to 20 mph. He is not a fan of cats. He is in good health and will make someone a great companion animal and attaches to his human strongly.
