About Max

Meet Max, a 4-year-old purebred Mini Australian Shepherd with a gentle heart and loyal nature. He's neutered, house-trained, up-to-date on vaccines, and knows his basic cues. Max thrives in calm, predictable environments and would be a great match for someone with a quiet routine-ideally with land or a fenced yard. He's content being home alone for a few hours but truly shines when he's near his person. Due to changes in our family life, we're looking for a new home where Max can feel more at ease. He's sensitive to noise and changing environments, and while he loves our baby, the busy routine has become too overwhelming. Max used to love the dog park but became more cautious after a few negative experiences. That said, he's been slowly regaining confidence and doing better with calm, thoughtful dog introductions! Max would do best in an adult-only home (or with older teens), ideally with someone experienced in positive, relationship-based training. He's not a beginner dog, but in the right home, he will be an incredibly devoted and protective companion.
